Bill's Grand Am

This is Bill's 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT. He bought it stock in 2004 with only 10,000 miles. It came from the factory fairly well equipped, such as a sunroof, upgraded stereo with cd/tape, xm satellite radio, upgraded wheels, and the SC/T sport apperance package. The SC/T package consists of a fiberglass ram air hood and upgraded spoiler. Bill started modifying it in 2005 by painting interior parts and adding overlays to existing emblems, then added the SC/T concept body kit. When the 5th generation Grand Am was in concept form, GM had a concept of a Grand Am that had a fiberglass ram air hood, different spoiler than the GT's, a full body kit with sideskirts similar to the GT, but flatter on the bottom and swooping out near the back, a front chin spoiler, and rear bumper extension, and a supercharger. The supercharger, & body kit never made it to production, but the hood and a version of the rear spoiler was offered as the SC/T apperance package, an add on to the GT package. After an accident in late 2006, Bill decided to do more modifications. He added aftermarket 17" wheels, shaved the antenna & trunk lock, replaced the emblems with decals similar to the emblems, dual post mirrors from early 5th generation Grand Ams, and had flames airbrushed on the hood. Since then, he has upgraded the stereo system with Pioneer 12" subs, a Pioneer 760 watt amplifier, Pioneer 5 way 6x9's, a Pioneer head unit, and a custom built sub enclosure in the trunk built from wood and fiberglass. The interior has had a few upgrades since 2006 such as more panels painted, all the knobs have been cleared so they glow red at night, underdash lights, and several other enhancements. The engine and engine bay has had a makeover as well, a Performance Chips Direct stage 2 chip has been added, as well as a stage 3 cold air intake, Taylor wires, all the black wire loom has been replaced with red and chrome, a front strut tower brace, aluminum brackets have been painted and polished, the upper intake and valve covers have been sanded smooth and polished, a set of headers and a high flow cat have been installed, the bracket holding the fuse box and air box has been trimmed to only hold the fuse box, and several other parts have been painted red and silver. The wheels have been upgraded to 18's, and aftermarket headlights and taillights have been installed. The car is currently apart right now getting several upgrades done to the entire car suh as suspension, fiberglass interior, and several other upgrades. Stay tuned!
